Organization: Integral Hospitality Solutions
Job description: Heads Integral Hospitality Solutions, which owns or manages more than 40 hotels nationwide, primary role is bringing new hotels into the system and overseeing the development of innovative management tools.
Primary achievement: Founding Integral Hospitality in 2003 and leading the company to become one of the Top 50 hotel management companies in the country; and the renovation of the Tutwiler.
Other accomplishments: In addition to leading Integral Hospitality as it grew from 2 hotels to more than 40 hotels, has used 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to create a management program called Game Plan that is used at each of Integral's hotels, is also a semi-professional meteorologist - recording weather reports for several radio stations and acts as a storm watcher for the National Weather Service, in 2002 landed a multi-year contract with a publishing company to publish his weather calendar, which highlights historic weather events.
Civic endeavors: Has served as chair of the board of directors for the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, also serves on the board of directors of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce.
