Integral Hospitality Hits Growth Spurt

By: Hotel & Motel Management Magazine
BIRMINGHAM, AL - Alabama-based Integral Hospitality Solutions has added eight employees, doubled its office space and taken over management or ownership of ten hotels in the last 90 days. President William Murray says the changes are the first steps on Integral's path to soon becoming one of the Top 10 hotel management companies in the country.
Hotel Business recently ranked the 3-year-old company as 69th in its list of Top 100 management companies. The ranking is based on the revenue of the hotels under the company's umbrella.
"We have really been busy in the last three years, adding on average one hotel to our company every month," Murray said. "Now we have the staff in place to make larger leaps forward. We are pushing each of our hotels to be a leader in their market just as we want to be a leader in the industry."
Integral was built on Murray's strong relationship with executives at Hilton Hotels Corporation and the more than 20 years of management experience. The corporation is a recommended management company for Hampton Inn properties and works with various other flags at its properties from New Mexico to Maryland.
On the hotel ownership side, Integral acquired The Tutwiler Hotel in its home city of Birmingham in March and broke ground on construction of a new Hampton Inn and Suites in Alexandria, La. , in April. The two projects demonstrate the scope of capabilities at Integral. The first is a full-service historic urban hotel in need of a multi-million dollar renovation while the latter is a smartly constructed limited service hotel near an Interstate exit in a smaller city.
Integral took over management of Days Inn Baton Rouge in the midst of major changes in the Louisiana city, which doubled in size following the evacuation and subsequent flooding of New Orleans due to hurricane Katrina. Other hotels newly under Integral's management are Juno Beach Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn Tyler, Texas.
In addition to the growing number of employees and properties, Integral recently began offering a planner designed for hotel managers called Game Plan and its Intranet management system I-Link to hotels outside of the Integral family.
