New Alexandria Hotel To Break Ground Tuesday

Alexandria, LA - Integral Hospitality Solutions will break ground on a 106-room Hampton Inn and Suites hotel Tuesday. When the hotel opens in spring of 2007, it will bring a much-needed additional option for quality hotel rooms to Alexandria.
Hampton Inn and Suites Alexandria will also have a significant economic impact on the city, creating 30 jobs and an estimated $200,000 annually in tax revenue.
The hotel will be located just off of Interstate 49 near the Alexandria International Airport, serving corporate travelers coming to Alexandria, interstate travelers passing through the city and military visitors, said Integral President William Murray. Murray, a hospitality industry veteran, has a long history with Hilton Hotels Corporation and specifically with their Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn and Suites products.
He said he enjoys bringing Hampton to a market because it is the only brand that provides a 100 percent guarantee: If a guest isn’t satisfied, their night’s stay is free. Once completed, the new Alexandria Hampton Inn and Suites hotel will boast Hampton’s innovative standards which are part of the brand’s ground-breaking project – “Make it Hampton. ”Amenities will include the complimentary On The House Hot Breakfast served daily and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Also, an in-room coffee maker, iron and ironing board are standard in every room.
“Alexandria has a shortage of high quality hotel rooms, and the Hampton Inn and Suites will be the best hotel in the city,” Murray said. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new hotel will be held at 11:30 a. m. Tuesday, April 11. Media is encouraged to attend. Construction of the new Hampton Inn and Suites will begin in June with completion planned for March of 2007.
